Beautiful as usual Murat! Hey, where's the snow?
I will be in NYC in March, it won't look like this, but will look up this park.
I assume a dark filter was used? And what time of day is this?
Thanks,
Nancy
Murat, I grew up a five minute walk from Prospect Park. This 585 acre park gave a city kid like me a taste of the country. Kids 16-years old and younger were allowed to fish in the lake and we could catch sunfish, carp, crappie and the occasional bass or pickerel. I learned to fish in that lake and after I was too old to fish there, I would neck with my girlfriend in some secluded spots of the park. (It was a LOT SAFER then)
There is a mountain in the park with a monument to a Maryland Regiment who defended that area (unsuccessfully) against the Hessians during the American Revolution...
Thanks, Nancy. I shot this image last summer when I was still learning exposure. This is just a new edit. I used B+W filter for this right during sunset. You should definitely go to this park. There's also a great botanic garden right across from here. I'd suggest going there first as it's open till 5 p.m., I guess. Then you can check out Prospect.
Richard, when I was there with my wife last summer, we thought it was very safe with all those people chilling out in there. Several people approached me to talk about photography recommending other sites for shooting. Overall it was a great experience for me.
Very nice. Similar elements (leading lines) as in Raj's photo.
Humayun Tomb - Ground Level View
Very gorgeous!
PS I tried photographing that bridge again, and I will post it one day... It was a little easier this time around.
Very nice and serene Murat.
Nice image Murat, I wouldn't change a thing.
I am with Mark here...it is beautiful enough not to do anything else to the shot.
Murat, great shot.

Tranquillity squared. Nice shot Murat.
Excellent work Murat.

One of those images which one just wants to step into and sit a while.....

Thank you for saying that. Sometimes, we New Yorkers get a bad rap. Yes, sometimes it's deserved, but ..
I am glad you had a great visit to NY to remember .
Nancy
Thanks for the photo info too
Fantastic shot. It looks so peaceful there.
Yes!!!
You captured the tranquility well, Murat.
