Sisters I noticed running along a beach in Thailand. I, as you can see was positioned behind trees and managed to capture this image from a fair distance. If anyone can improve on the processing I would be most grateful especially if you tell me what you have done!!

I love how you framed this shot with the trees. I played around with it a bit and I am not sure if it as much improved as it is just changed...

I globally increased the contrast, selected the girls and further increased contrast and structure, I increased the structure of the headland across the water, then I cropped it a bit and added a border.
The two girls are of equal size in each image but, they seem relatively larger in the cropped image...

    Agree with that, for sure.
Imagine this picture without the framing and it's not nearly as interesting. It all works together very nicely for me.
I think Richard's edits in general improve it, but wonder if the structure shouldn't be added globally and the girls not brought up quite as much. They look a bit pasted on (from a darker, more contrasty and structured image) in this revised version.
I am just learning to use control points and am wondering if they don't work too well sometimes.

Yes, Richard, a crop like that was the first thing which I considered with this scene.

I have a hunch that working with the original RAW file would provide a different look to the image.
