Re: Baroque Churches in Lecce
Classic perspective; it is in these kind of images we specially notice the aspects of perspective...and thesee have come out really well

Re: Baroque Churches in Lecce
I have found out that the church in the first two pictures is S. Giovanni Battisata al Rosario!

Re: Baroque Churches in Lecce
They are splendid - I will look into this church later in the spring as we're staying in the hotel in the same square. Any tips on other places to photograph welcomed.

Re: Baroque Churches in Lecce
Only in Lecce or in the whole Salento? In both cases the list would be very long!
Just some names:
in Lecce
- The Duomo
- Basilica di Santa Croce
- The whole Duomo Square
- The ancient Roman theatre in Sant Oronzo Square
- Sant Irene
- All the churches in the center (a lot!)
In Salento
- Otranto, with its cathedral and the small bizantin church
- Gallipoli Old, with in particular the Duomo (wonderful inside) and the many other churches (I liked in particular San Domenico al Rosario). If you go to Gallipoli visit the Museo Diocesano, because it is possibile to go up to the tower and take pictures of all around
- The wonderful coast between Otranto and Santa Cesarea
- The sunset on the ionic coast, in particular at Baia Verde, with the sun going down next the Sant Andrea Island (I post you one of the many)
And many many other things!

Re: Baroque Churches in Lecce
Was it O.K. for you to shoot in these churches? I was prevented ("asked" but that's the same thing) from shooting the interiors of two churches (small ones, I don't even know their names) in Venice. Both churches were empty, except for caretakers, so it was not like I was disturbing anyone at worship!
It could be however, the common warm reception given tourists in that city.
