I agree that a more panoramic version of the first photo would work well, as would other variations.

Just in case it's helpful to know, the first photo was made with an 85mm lens and the second one was made with a 180mm lens. The second photo is cropped only at the sides to render an 8 x 10 aspect ratio.

Yes a great location and perfect lighting giving endless possibilities but stick to photography I think a swim would be a very poor option....

Seeing the Great Falls makes me homesick. The next time I am in Maryland, I am going back to DC and surrounding areas. I want to get more pictures of Georgetown, parts of the towpath, and the museums. Last year, I did the monuments and a quick drive through of Georgetown.

Then, I want to go back to the Eastern Shore. I would probably take the byways just so I could get pictures.....and crabs.

The crabs are great, Marie, if you want to lose weight. It's the only food I can think of that finding enough food to eat expends more calories than the calories you consume.
