As Kaye stated
Its a great capture because it so fits your story. That owl is just not going to give you the shot you want - the expression just says that is so.....
Plus it is beautifully photographed.

Haha Christina. Do you think we will ever be happy with whatever pic we get? We get the regular shots, then we want the odd shots, then we want nest shots. then....
Ha Ha Bobo.. I would be head over heels estatic if I managed your owl shot... And yes, of course I would want to capture one in flight next, and I look forward to see your snowy owl in flight.
I've made two trips to Boundary Bay in search of owls, with my heart set on a snowy owl... 2 1/2 hours by bus each way... About a 12 kilometer walk in freezing cold (Freezing for me)... I hid in a hide for 1 1/2 hours (nothing)... I asked every photographer and person I encountered if they had seen any owls, snow owls... And then one person said yes, just down at the end of that road... Still frozen I prevailed and walked another 3 kilometers... No snowy owl in sight, but there was a bird of prey rehabilitation sanctuary at the end of the road (closed).. I peeked over the fence and saw the most beautiful bird I have ever seen, a snowy owl... He was a curious little guy and looked right at me with those beautiful, highly inquisitive eyes... So I have one shot taken over a fence and through a fence, in a downward direction, and I'm dreaming of seeing another snowy owl... Alas it doesn't look like they will be in our area this year, so I'm dreaming of next year...
Excellent description of what wildlife photographers go through to get a shot to the viewer.
Just to add - a flu that had been festering for a couple of days broke and I am done in for a while.
How on earth does one catch a flu after a flu shot of over 2 weeks ago?

Oh,oh, Christina, and me who is planning a trip to BC this summer. Looks like tacking good pictures will be harder than I was expecting.
Infinitely better than any in my portfolio.
Hi Louise,
BC is beautiful and full of wonderful photo ops! (unless you are trying to find a snowy owl near the city)
When you visit if you have any questions that I may be able to help you with, just send me a PM.
PS
Bobo, I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling under the weather. Get better soon! I need the inspiration of your photos.
