I looked down and she was sitting within the plant. I moved one of the leaves to let in a little more light and she turned to face me.

I thought you might appreciate this one. All I did was look into the plant hoping for caterpillars and found spidy instead. Then I bent one of the leaves out to let ij some light. But to save you the aggravation I spent about 20 minutes removing ' little things'

I agree that the whole picture is important. But for now (who knows about later) I tend to shoot where the beasties are. This time she was in a green plant that became a 'room'.

Brian - personally I believe that is the best approach, you never know if you'll ever get a second chance at any subject and you can always delete an image of a subject if you subsequently improve on it.

Photography is as full, as any other activity, of people saying they wish they had taken an opportunity when it presented itself but they didn't because this, that or the other wasn't right at the time.
