    That being the case I would shoot with telephoto.

    I'm rather pleased we have no spiders of that physical size here, at least I have not seen any yet

    Unless I am mistaken Fiji is tropical and I would be truly amazed if this fellows cousins weren't on the islands somewhere.

    If you use the telephoto end of the zoom outside the design parameters of course it will be blurry.
