Makes you want to kick one.
Very cool. Certainly don't see those down my way.
#2 reminds me of those moving rocks pictures. Pretty neat.

Awesome! I searched for them here on the hill, to no avail. They are so cool!!!!
#2 especially tells the story. Great job.

Way cool!
I didn't even know there was such a thing as "snow tumbleweeds". We are way too far south to ever get a chance to see things like that.
We may see snow in the Houston area maybe every 5 or 6 years. If you can call it snow....it usually only stays for a few hours.
We had some sleet last week, and again today. That's the most white stuff we get.

There was a report in our local news about those snow tumbleweeds earlier tonight...they even show a shot where the middle of the tumbleweed was removed and a creative person (whoever s/he was) took a photo from his side to the other side of the street. It was beautiful. I will watch the local news again before I go to bed. I am sure they will report it again before the weather news comes on...
Yeah, they just started showing up here, too, in Western New York. Was 0 deg F here this AM, had a mid-day heat wave, up to 6, and now back to 0. And we know a bit about wind and snow, too.
But we stay warm, and keep on shooting.
Good luck.

Neat story and pictures Kevin! Thank you for posting these, I had not previously seen this phenomena.
