Odd geese.
I was sitting here bored and since I don't have any new photographs to process this week I thought I would take a completely useless, out of focus, shot from a previous day and try and make something of it. I see Daisy Mae's work and I'm envious of her work. This in no way compares to the work she does. I'm not even sure my photo works on any level, but this folks is what boredom, a lap top, and an out of focus picture of three Canadian geese will get you late on a Monday night.

Re: Odd geese.
Kris this is interesting. Have you tried playing with textures as layers and varying the color and tonality of the background a bit? Just search free textures online and then play with the blending mod for the image.
This type of creative effort is very fun but can be a real time suck as there are infinite possibilities for every image. I know, I've done it myself a few times

Cute Kris... -- you've just flattened the bird on your canvas...are they still alive? Aaahhh the length of winter is getting to you, playing with textures is getting your creative juices working...you have to exercise your brain from time to time. I read tutorials in my off-times...or else I annoy the doggies. ha!

Re: Odd geese.
I had never gone beyond cropping and every day post processing before. This kind of picture will probably not be the norm for me but if I am ever going to get better at post processing I feel that I'm going to have to learn all of the abilities of the software that I have. I was trying to figure out how to make the geese really pop against the background but I don't know how to work with layers. Going through video tutorials to learn to work with different layers is something that is definitely on my list.
