Combining still images in videos
I have the need to combine some still images into my videos. My Panasonic HDC-TM900 shoots at 1920 x 1080.
I am wondering what size that I should make my graphics to include in with the video I shoot with the Panasonic.
Would 1920x1080 pixels at 72 ppi be correct?
Would it depend on the video editing program? I will probably use Photoshop CS6 because, I have it and it is simple to use.

Re: Combining still images in videos
1920x1080 should work fine - the 72 ppi that you mention is totally irrelevant in video work. What does matter is the output of the video editing program, and there should be several output settings within the program. By CS6 I assume you mean you are going to use Premier? If so 1920x1080 is definitely available as an output setting.

Re: Combining still images in videos
Thank you Brian... I will use the built-in editing capability of Adobe Photoshop CS6 which is a facet you seldom hear about. Not good for "Ben Hur" productions but perfect for productions a couple of minutes long....

Re: Combining still images in videos
I use Pro-Show Producer to put my stills into video together. It has the capability to edit in Photoshop and make special effects in Photoshop then drop it back to Pro-Show.

Take a read through this thread Richard:
Resizing Images
The thread above was a discussion my dilemma regarding resizing my images for the video and may be of some help.
I used Camtasia Studio to produce image slide shows but it would also allow those to be interspersed with video.
Good luck!
