    Folder sequence in Bridge

Confused about the order in which Bridge is displaying my folders…

I save my RAW files in a date/subject format such as:
20140109 Monique; 20140114 Snuggles and puppies

After I have edited my images, I place them in folders with just the name which are sorted alphabetically such as:
Ancestors; Art; Asian Cultural Festival; and so on.

This has always served me well. My unprocessed shots along with my master images of these shots come up first in order of date, followed by my edited images in alphabetical order such as:
    Folder sequence in Bridge

However, I have a few folders which, for some reason do not conform to the above date/subject or edited subject title sequence.

A few of these are from quite a while ago and one is from yesterday

    Note:
My last sequential edited folders are "Xian edited" and "Yosemite"

They are then followed by five unedited folders which should be in date sequence in the grouping prior to the alphabetically sequenced edited folders. And then I have an edited folder “Chanel video stills” which is out of alphabetical order and follows the five out of order date/subject files.

All the folders are in order when I access them via my pictures library:

Chanel video stills is in the grouping of edited folders, between "Canon TC Tests" and "China NIK Processed"; not cattywampus at the end of all my folders.

When I open my images using Photoshop, they are also in the correct order.

I know that this glitch with the order of my folders in Bridge must be operator error but, where is my error?

I have had things like this go wrong as well, Richard.

Can we assume this isn't some sort of keyword issue? I have even had files in various software being out of order simply because I have accidentally had a space before the title!

And I also sometimes get problems in the way my dates are shown in the title some are just figures while others have underscores between days, months and the year. These show in the 'wrong' order to what I expect; so I then have to stop and have a careful think before the obvious becomes apparent.

With Bridge, my problems have mostly come down to accidentally having the wrong option selected under 'Sort by Filename'

I do have some images which are still 'pending' with regard to allocating Keywords. Probably, I will have to read up on this before attempting to catch up on these images. After not doing it for a little while I suspect that I have forgotten what previously made sense to me!
