Re: Various
Dave
Good point made. I often think the same way, however, whilst I consider myself to have a moderate command of the English language, I sometimes find myself searching for adjectives to describe exactly what I feel about an image that I like.
Shot is probably a reasonable noun to use, after all we refer to "shooting film" and "photo shoot".
Roger didn't make clear why he posted these images and I've noticed in these situations people (myself included) restrict there comments to what they like and steer away from negative comments or objective critique, which I think is probably the right way. This tends to create rather banal comments - I know I often think that about my own comments.
I know what you mean about "nice", it's conveying a meaning somewhere between "I'd pay good money to out that on my wall" to "it doesn't do anything for me". Perhaps we need to give points out of ten. However, despite it's over use the word does mean pleasurable enjoyable etc. and it's only got four letters and is easier to type.
I think all in all we should view comments in their most positive light and take them at face value.
Just my thoughts, sorry for the partly "tongue in cheek" reply, but you've got to have a bit of fun!
kind regards
Clive
