Re: Not my usual shot...
Very nice shots Richard - they bring back memories of our visit to Venice a couple of years ago.

Re: Not my usual shot...
Thanks friends, for the nice comments.
This is a really strange comparison but, Venice reminded me of Yosemite Valley, California, in that there are just so many awesome views within a relatively small geographic area...

The big difference, is that I don't have a great desire to return to Venice but, have do a burning desire to visit Yosemite during the winter when there is snow and some harsh storm conditions. My visit was in May. I did the Valley alone since my wife has visited it many times so she stayed home with our dogs.
Since I will be watching the dogs when she and our daughter cruise to Hawaii. I am looking into a Vietnam tour. My wife has no interest in that. I generally like to shoot independently but, at almost 74-years of age, a tour might just be the safest option for me. I am hoping to hook up with another old guy interested in photography (especially a Vietnam Vet) with whom to share the tour. That would solve my wife's worries about my safety.
