    Which lenses?

G'day, I am going on a photo walk this evening, The forecast is for 42 degrees celcius (107 degrees Fahrenheit) so I don't want to carry too much gear.
I will take my D7000 and Tripod
    my choices are.

    Sigma 10 - 20mm f/3.5
    Nikon 18 - 105mm f/3.5-5.6
    Nikon 55 - 300mm f/3.5-5.6
    Tamron 90mm f/2.8
    Nikon 18 - 300mmf/3.5-5.6
    Sigma 150 - 500mm f/6.5
We will be walking from around 8 pm to 9:30pm, it gets dark around 8:30 ish, my aim is for mostly architecture and the city lights and if time permits I will try for some long exposure shots, There will also be the celebrations for the end of the lunar year which I think coincides with the Chinese new year.
    Which lenses would you take?

All things considered if you're only taking one lens I'd take the 18-105 my second choice would be the 18-300.

Peter I think I would have the 18-105 fitted to the camera and take the 10-20 also. I wouldn't think you'd need anything too long for what you are doing but I could be wrong.

    thank you both, I think the 10 - 20 is a must just needto decide between the 18 - 105 and the 18 - 300, going by weight I would chose the 18 - 105 but for versatility the 18 - 300

If the 10-20 is a must why not add the 55-300 which should have less distortion and vignetting than the 18-300.

Anyway why walk around in the heat when I understand Adelaide has some great restaurants (Air Conditioned!)

Single lens - the 18-300mm. This would be a minimalist approach; no bother with changing lenses.

L.Paul...he lives in Brisbane...Adelaide is nearly at the other side of the continent from where he is situated. I'd take the 55-300, Peter...

It says Adelaide on Peter's profile so I was assuming I was advising a cultured Australian. Obviously not the case if he is from Queensland... ...Sorry Dave just kidding.
