Okay, no rules.
I could use some captions, and that's a good one Frank.

The first one should be "Wow! nice surf! I have a feeling I am not in Kansas anymore...
More comicals. Love your pelikans. Both good. That little bit of clipped wing in #2 does not bother me.
Do you get them in groups?
Hi Bobo,
Thank you. Seems I'm either too far away or too close.
I haven't gone through all my pelican images yet, but yes I do have a few group shots but I expect they are not great because they are either shots of a bunch of pelicans on a boat, or gathered in chaos on the beach (composition problems), or rear shots of them flying out to sea or images of them flying about that are too far away... However when I get to these shots I will see if I can find any decent ones to share...
PS Why does your signature say 1/1600? Favourite shutter speed or ?

Couple of nice ones, Christina. The first one is comical indeed. I can see the big lug trying to get airborne. Nice techs on both of them. That wave looks awesome.
Haha. That is the base ss I always start with and it always leads somewhere....
Great images, even without captions!
They are nice and the first one is really comical
Thank you to all for your comments. I have a good stash of comical pelicans up my sleeve.
Dan... thanks good to know... I thought the greenery behind the pelican would make for a nice background but it turned out rather psychedelic!
Aside... I made a typo in the subject... The caption is supposed to be Free Fall because the pelican seemed to be falling through the sky about to land on me... And "Fun in the Surf" (same mind-set as Isabel) in there for the wave photo. Obviously I'm not great at captions.
