Pretty. And well done compositionally, Karm. It wants a bit for story.Tthat might be the sign, but it's too minor a feature. A boat needing paint or a boy with a cane pole and straw hat would finish it off nicely though.

Hey Downrigger, I agree with your comment. Unfortunately, a subject wasn't present. Instead I treated the image as an architectural monument. I tried to bring out its symmetry etc. and develop its beautiful water reflections.

The reflection at the bottom makes this a really special image

No, Karm, I quite see that and you succeeded very well. The geometry is interesting against the natural textures and lines of the surroundings and the reflections are very lovely.

    Hi, Karm

Tough time of day to get good saturation without so much reflected light. Would have been a good time to break out the polarizer if you were carrying one. IF I'm around water, I leave it on as my default starting point. I think you can get a bit more impact by reducing the highlights, increasing contrast and vibrance, and reducing the luminance of the orange and yellow. You might even consider swapping out the color of the benches to the same red that's in the sign- you'd have to do it to your reflection also but it's just a little work.

    Now there's a thought, Karm!

I'd bet that if you were to clone out the sign to eliminate the impact of both the text and the red, then darken the seats and reflection to a more vibrant red hue that this image would just pop!

    Karm,

Here's a quickie/sloppy rendition, but at least illustrates what I was referring to:

Hi Kevin, what you posted is a bit too saturated for my tastes but I understand where you're going. I can't really explain why but in processing this image I decided to keep it the way I saw it. I would definitely like to hear from others whether my image looks too desaturated.
