    Interesting lines and color, John. I'm interested in what your vision for this was when you made the shot... and what you did to try to realize that vision in terms of settings.

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for commenting. My original intent was just to capture a wintry scene, however I wanted to control the intensity of the sunlight, which was diffused and helped somewhat; and also provide detail in the shadowy areas. During the editing I liked the effects of the cast shadows extending into the foreground, so I adjusted my sliders to achieve a nice contrast or so I hoped. I also wanted to maintain the blues of the sky, however I was unable to capture as much as I thought.
