I'd like to thank everyone for voting my image, but I think the one deserving the biggest thank you is Cambridge in Colour.

This image is a merge of a few frames taken with bracketed exposures. I achieved this result thanks to the detailed yet simple to understand explanation of what HDR consists of in the pages of this website. For months I wandered around the web looking for an explanation about why a technical advance such as HDR led many people to produce images that have worse quality than the originals they derive from. This website answered my question and if this image won is mostly thanks to those who wrote and edited these pages.

Finally, congratulations to Matt and Bobo for their excellent images.

Since both of you are getting teary eyed and all that about CiC let me add my bit. If anyone needs to thank CiC it is me - the worst of the newbies. But many of you did not give up on me and slowly and slowly things got better. To all those who kept at me - my utmost gratitude. Be assured I will continue to listen and learn. Hopefully one day I too will be able to offer the same level of assistance that was given to me.
