Panorama of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala
I took these shots at noon (terrible time of the day for sure), but we happened to be in a small village on the east side of Lake Atitlan, so I tried for a hand-held pano that shows some of the villages and the three volcanos (four if you count the lake itself). The shot itself is made up of 12 images and if I were to print it full size, would have dimensions of 233cm x 53cm / 92" x 21". Given the haze and the poor lighting, I'm reasonably happy with the shot.
The extinct San Pedro volcano is in the middle of the image, and on the left, partially hidden by clouds is the active Toliman Volcano and the possibly extint Atitlan Volcano.
The streaks in the water are the wake of the water taxis ferrying people across the lake, connecting the various towns.
Clicking on the image results in a larger view in Lightbox.

Really a nice composition, Manfred. And overall not bad at all for a midday type of shot. I like the tufts of clouds on the volcanoes. When you get home with editing time on your hands you might consider cloning out the little bit of foreground at lower left. Nicely done.

Great shot Manfred. The light actually works pretty well I think. I like the way the tones in the image vary as you move from left to right.

Very nice. Considering the weather at home, you picked a good time to be away...

Very nice.Manfred I have a question. When I look at your photos what I see is that they are usually a kind of 'matt' and I like them very much this way. So,how do you do this?Is it something related to your lens or do you use a specific filter for that ?Your photos are never shiny, even in the middle of the day the light is excellent.

Binnur - I'm not quite sure why you mean by "matt". If you mean the images don't show a lot of reflections, that is because I usually shoot with a polarizing filter on my outdoor shots to reduce reflections. I did not use one in this pano (the 120 degree angle of view would have resulting in the sky banding, had I done so).
If I do get highlights, I will often clean them up in post.
