To My Amazement
onOne software sent me an email allowing me to download Perfect Effects 8 Premium absolutely free with full license.
The offer is for their email list only so, maybe you can sign up and get the offer.
I suppose this is a ploy in the anti CC world, but I think its very nice. I had the Perfect Effects 4 Free group already, and the trial version of 8 which had expired. Guess I'll have to give the plugs a shot.
The installer puts them into Photoshop CS5 and up , CC, Aperture, and PSE 10 and up, and removes older versions if checked, although that part required me to manually remove the trial version using its Remove app.

Re: To My Amazement
Got the same email weeks ago, been having a good play. Decent bit of software with some excellent filters/effects but a very lacking interface.
Still for free who am I to argue

Re: To My Amazement
They do offer some free software on their website. Surprised they did this as I was doing a 30-day evaluation of their Perfect Suite 8. I had to delete before the evaluation was over in order to install the free version. The only difference between the free and what I deleted was the resize function; which was a memory hog to complete as it was.

Re: To My Amazement
I purchased OnOne Perfect Photo Suite Premium 7 at a reduced price (since I was a registered owner of NIK Software, a competing product). OnOne gave me a full copy of Perfect Photo Suite 8 but, I did not remove Suite 7 after installing 8...
I would expect that Perfect Photo Suite 8 + Lightroom would provide a photographers with some great post processing capabilities.

Re: To My Amazement
I have really been enjoying the free install. I find the software very easy to use with a lot of cool effects. It does only operate on 8 bits but I have not seen any posterizing or other such artifacts as of yet. I am particularly happy with the selection of borders in the program and all the variations one can do with each particular border preset. Add some textures to the image and I have done more with less time than with other software.

Re: To My Amazement
I have found out that Topaz is offering Simplify 4 for half price (19.95) through Feb 28 with a coupon from their website. I have the suite that includes this already. A lot of people like it not just for converting to art, but for adding enhancement at low opacity.
