Very nice image, Brian - I like the soft lighting and the lines the leaves

This is really something special...the holes in the leaves just add some harmony to the theme

Nice shot, Brian. But I'd say your title is WAY off. Well done.

Re: The Butterfly is almost superfluous.
It can be surprisingly difficult to get the perfect angle on a butterfly. Too square on and, unless you get the right background, it looks like a dead specimen in a collection.
Too far off square and it looks distorted.
You have managed a nice balance between the two extremes with this shot.

Re: The Butterfly is almost superfluous.
Brian,
Great shot, FYI it's a moth (typically wings flat rather than folded up over body).
I agree with Dan, without the moth it would just be an image of a leaf with holes. The lighting in this is very good and your focus and DoF is very good. One suggestion, in the lower RHC, I would remove that small red and white object.
Also, the eye spots should make it easy to ID the moth if you choose to do so.

The colors of the leaf contrast nicely with the moth. I like your composition here, I might have put the moth more to a thirds line but that would have cut the point of the leaf out to the right. I like what you did here.
