Helpful Posts: Grace loves to carry sticks when we're out for a walk. The bigger the better. Sometimes big in girth and sometimes in length. Today I had a camera with me and the right lens. This is a bit extreme but not by any means a record for her.
I also managed a shot of her with all fours off the ground. I guess it's a DIF

Great shots, Dan. I had a German Shepherd that was wild for fetching sticks. We lived a block from the ocean on Whidbey Island, WA where there were piles of driftwood always on the beach. My dog would try to drag home anything smaller than a telephone pole. Kind a brought a tear to my eye from the memory. Thanks!

lol dif I think it would be a lesson in futility to try that with my sharpie/yellow lab mix. these are great shots, I really need to try harder with my dogs. They see my camera and do the opposite I want.

Glad you guys enjoyed the shots. Sometimes like today, after we've had a good bit of snow, she has a hard time finding a stick. Not to be deterred she will pull a low hanging branch off of a spruce tree. If it has too many small branches sticking off I'll take it from her and strip them off lest she poke herself in the eye.

I enjoyed those two shots of Grace, Dan. It reminds me of a still shot in one of my email that was labeled "Branch Manager" (the dog who has the biggest portion of a branch and the other dog who has the end of the branch was labeled as "Assistant Branch Manager".
I particularly love the expression of Grace's face in the first one and the DIF on the second one. Man that was both fun for you and Grace.

So true, Isabel. For those of us who are so inclined, spending time with a dog is great entertainment. And bringing a camera along just doubles the fun!
