    A Dark Place

My thanks to Daisy Mae (Sharon) for getting me trying stuff like this. I love her shots as they present a thoughtful, sober, image in most cases.

It is not designed to imitate, indeed it is fundamentally different, but is one of my personal takes on 'bleak' scenes.

I am eternally grateful for the inspiration.

Nothing wrong with looking for inspiration from others, all great artists have done it. I like the image, especially the brickwork at the rear. Interesting framing used as well.

    Thanks John.

David, the framing just seemed appropriate. Thanks for the comments.

Just waiting for THAT music - you know the sort of stuff that says when you round the corner at the bottom you are going to find something gruesome there, either that, or be scared shirtless when something gets a hold of you.

I am with Steve on the music. It does looks like a ghost is waiting at the button of the stairs, just to the right. Good one.

    Louise,

Maybe there was, maybe there wasn't!

It is wonderful how different people see alternative things in a picture.

Your image and capture make this a very memorable picture, haunting too. Very well done.
