I like the inclusion of the hand in the second shot.

The lighting is nice in both images.

However, the floating effect in the first one doesn't work for me nearly as well as some of your other lightbox images. That's because I can't tell whether the two stems are laying flat on the tabletop or are somehow arching upward with only their end points touching the tabletop.

In the second image, I like the context provided by the hand but don't like the use of monochrome. That's because the color of the vegetable is so vibrant that my mind wants a similar mood in the skin tones.

Lovely idea and concept. I prefer the lighting and composition of the 2nd, but as with Mike, not sure of the black and white. Maybe try a female had and have a contrasting colour of a painted thumbnail as another alternative to try ?

I like both of them,a real skin colour might be better in #2.
