B/W Conversion for "Golden Hour at Pomton Lake on a Clear Winter Day"

I posted a thread "Golden Hour at Pompton Lake on a Clear Winter Day" 20 days ago. Last few days, I tried converting those pictures into B/W. I do like the blue sky darker than the snow on the ground and feel the B/W version snow pictures more powerful than the original color picture. How do you feel? C&C welcome.

Some awesome photos you got. I think they look great in B/W, especially the last one. Though the first one with a hint of color is very nice as well.

The second and fourth photos work wonders for me. The fourth one dispels the myth that we should always look for untrodden snow to photograph.

    Hui,
It is beautiful! I will give you 11/10 for No1. That is an image to be printed on canvas and hung on a very visible wall.
The tonal range in your B&W conversions is really great.

I like them all and my favorite is #2; i would request you to keep a gap between the images; that would help separate evaluation

Love number 4 and agree virgin snow is not necessarily a prerequisite of a good photo
