Distressed Glasgow
Thought I'd try something a little different. Shot taken of a busy city centre street and then manipulated togive it a new angle. Comments welcome.

Re: Distressed Glasgow
Lots of charm. Attractive treatment indeed. The raw file is almost a blank canvas of its own, sometimes. If my work (very unlikely) the lines would be my hair, blowing away.

Re: Distressed Glasgow
Thanks for the positive feedback. The lines Kaye are meant to be scratches distressing the image, which is modern as sen by the crane in the background.

Re: Distressed Glasgow
David;
I too like this image but find that the lines as is feel more like an add on than in integral part of the shot at this point. I like that concept thought and wonder if you might play with it a bit more in PP. There are plenty of 'scratch' textures to be found for free online.
Also, the white border around the image conflicts with the painterly feel of the image IMHO. Maybe a more torn edge look?
I like this kind of interpretive photography where the image is that base for a completely unique piece of art. Keep on experimenting and sharing
