Photo editing in Photoshop to tone colour images
Hi
Below are the links to the Flickr photo streams of Jonas Lang and Colin Pallot.
I would be very interested to copy the style of tones used in JL's photos as well as to copy the tones
in the tractor photo by CP.
I have tried various effects in Photoshop, including adjusting individual RGB settings in curves with
varying (limited!) degrees of success.
I would also be interested in toning photos so as to simulate the style often used in 1950/60s tourist
postcards.
I would appreciate any guidance/settings advice that other members can offer.
Many thanks
Solo

Looking at the JL link (the other isn't working) all I see is well taken photographs that have good simple processing. If you aren't getting the results I feel you need to improve your shooting technique not your processing.

One thing that you might try is to open a B&W adjustment layer and change the layer style to luminosity...sometimes helps me.
