    I like this shot and only wish the people in the image had been wearing white! Try a crop to the very edge of the building that removes the person on the far left and half to two-thirds of the foreground brickwork and see what you think David.

    I can see where you're coming from Shane, lighter coloured clothing would certainly have helped separate himn from the black wall. Unfortunately with street photography you get what you're given and I didn't fancy hanging around. I tried the crop you suggested and I must admit, I think it's too crowded and loses something. I enclose a copy for you to see what you think.

    David;

    You might be right on the original crop as it my suggestion does look a bit tight - it looked better to me in the lightbox when I moved it around

    I completely agree that
    street photography you get what you're given
    . The comment about the person being in white was what came to mind and wasn't intended as a criticism in any way.

    I too like the first one and will not suggest a crop at all. Once you do crop the person, another crop will follow and you lose the essence of the shot. Sorry Shane. I am late to this party but that is my opinion. It is a clean shot, simple and yet intriguing...a mystery in itself, the feeling of "clean" ... even the part of the building on the left makes one think...what can really be beyond that space further? Or I am just an emotional wreck thinking of "farther"?

    Thanks Isabel, like you say with the image could suggest a multiple of possible crops, but the original I believe stands itself. Even the second figure I'm starting to like as he adds a continuous to the scene.
