    Old man and a whale

A couple of images from Castle Hill Rocks between Christchurch and Greymouth. The area is a limestone outcrop at about 1500m above sea level so shows how much the land has risen over time.

Nice, strong images of an interesting and dramatic place. The gaping maw in the second is awesome. (Has that word been ruined in the vernacular, or what?)

Nice shots, Ken. I just love NZ...they have a different language too. I am surprised it is English...so quipped my eldest son.

As an avid whale watcher I really do get the second pic. It looks very much like a humpback sticking its head out to check everything out (its called spy hopping) fascinating shot and well spotted.
