"Old Relic"
A relic from our Aussie past. Most probably used to pump water from a river or dam to irrigate pastures or crops.

Re: "Old Relic"
Fascinating old engine. The harsh light is not that flattering; however in this case the subject overcomes it sufficiently to make the image. Any chance of revisiting when the light is more diffuse?

Re: "Old Relic"
Interesting - an old firetube style boiler (to power the pumps) on wheels; unfortunately the harsh shadows hide this part of the equipment. This is a concept I have not seen before. I agree with Trevor that the harsh lighting do not add and a revisit during a more suitable time of day would make this an interesting subject to retake. The nameplate on the unit is a nice shot on its own.

Re: "Old Relic"
Looks much better and more interesting in full screen size where the fine detail is more apparent.
Some of the steam experts should be able to give more information about that machinery from the name plate.

Re: "Old Relic"
Interesting shots Edwin. Had a quick trawl to see if here was anything recorded about the company on the Internet and there is quite a bit if you are interested. Also found this but its not as good as yours. The site has a couple of other views of the engine.

Re: "Old Relic"
Interesting image Edwin, it's good to see someone recording these old relics before they finally rust away.

Re: "Old Relic"
Thanks for your comments folks & yes when I get time I'll revisit the engine & take some more shots when the lighting is more favourable. Interesting Photos John, it's the same engine that I photographed, "AMAZING"
Cheers.......Edwin.
