Ginormous HDR Efex Pro 2 log file?
Hi,
I have HDR Efex with the rest of the Nik Collection, though I have used it only a few times.
I also noticed that my primary 2Tb disk had become more than half full. Just not possible with the stuff that I have.
Then I tracked down a file called HDR Efex Pro 2_log.txt - totalling 709Gb ![EEK!](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/eek.png)
It lives in users/me/AppData/Local/Google/HDR Efex Pro2
Before I delete it, anyone have any idea what may be going on. That's one heck of a log file!

Just had a look at mine Dave and it's only 112KB. I've only used the software once or twice though.
Have you tried to open it in a text editor to see what it contains ? 700Gb seems unreal for a text file !

Re: Ginormous HDR Efex Pro 2 log file?
David,
HDR Efex Pro 2_log.txt at 709Gb that is one hell of a text file. It should be merely recording the changes, but I wonder if it has corrupted to keep a copy of each TIFF with the change also, despite being a .txt file. At that size, unless it is absolutely critical that you want to check your changes and replicate them, I personally would:
1. delete the text file
2. check the settings or even delete and reinstall HDR Efex Pro 2 from scratch. You presumably still have the licence key?

Re: Ginormous HDR Efex Pro 2 log file?
Thanks, guys. No the edits aren't critical, and I doubt I've done more than twenty or so.
I think I'll delete the file and see what happens, then re-install if it starts to build up again.
I tried to have a look at the file - but perhaps not very surprisingly, text editors don't like trying to read 700Gb into memory!

Just for the record, Nikoogle tell me it's a temporary file that can be deleted. They will also send me the latest installer :-)
