Nice shot. Where did you see the owl? I've been on the lookout (Kanata area), but haven't spotted one yet.
I hear an owl and partner each night during the fall but they seemed to only do it at night...Apart from the zoo, I have not been able to see any owl at all. 'Lucky you!
Lucky day indeed snowy owl at shopping mall and wild turkey in my garden (the pics weren't good though)'Lucky you
I searched all winter to see one. Today I just went shopping without camera... went home, brought camera, the owl still there . Manfred, this is between Tenth line and Trim road. I read reports of owl sightings in East area of the city.

That's a good address Manfred for birds sightings
Thank you all for your kind comments.
Congrats on finding the snowy. It kills me that I live in AK and have yet to see one of these.
Great
There have been sighting in the Midwest (US) for the past two years. A couple of friends have made the trek Snow Owl in Missouri and got a fair photo.
How lucky can one get?? Good find and shots.
From what I understand there are quite a few in the Ottawa area. Here in the Toronto area as well. Have been looking all over and going to reported sites but only came up with that one butt shot that was posted a while back. No luck since. But will keep trying.
And happy beyond words to share it with bird lovers like youHow lucky can one get??
Amherst Island is considered owls paradise maybe we should go there Bobo. Where do you find yours?
