Let's see, the thief will dump the bag contents and steal the bag, because it is worth more than the camera gear inside?

If it were a limited edition perhaps, but I don't want to appear public at the same event with another photographer having the same bag.

For that price, it doesn't even fit 2 cameras and some lenses for a simple outing...no thanks -- it can stay in Louis Vitton's store or webpage for all I care. I'll stick to my rugged, tattered looking camera bag anytime. ha!

Revolting. But on the bright side: if you see one of these, you will at least know that the person has so little common sense that you can ignore any photographic advice they give you.

The camera bag article ends with this question: "Do you have this camera bag and if so please share in a comment: what you were thinking."

I could think about an answer: "I bought one but the nice men in the white coats won't let me bring it into my padded room to try it!"

But oh, he takes good pictures too! He has this most expensive bag in the first place, so he must be good in taking good photographs too. Duh!

Well I provoked a number of responses, all of them worth a chuckle or two.

I didn't know what to say when I saw it - except WTH? Well those weren't my exact words.

Folks, come on,,, I think you're being harsh. After all, fashion is art too! And just like any art form, we should admire it for it's beauty and how it makes us feel!

So here goes: This bag, and it's matching wallet ($490) or belt ($490) make me feel bad. Borderline angry really. It's an affront to my sensibilities, makes me feel sick to my stomach and well, just gross really. Worst of all, it makes me feel like my friends would laugh at me, and my wife too... until I told her the price. Then, well then I'd feel single, and cold, 'cause it's winter. And I'd be outside. Alone.

See! Art! Feelings! Lovin' my hand-me-down 20 year old Lowepro! Price $0 and ya, it's also blue and black!
