    Beneath the Snow

Some of you may recognize this old junker from some of my posts a while ago. Well, I revisited it today and I am having a hard time deciding between color and B&W. C&C most appreciated.

I prefer the colour image because the rust on the car is more obvious.

And with the colour version it is obviously a covering of snow. That is a little less clear in the B&W.

It sure looks like a situation where black and white would work, but I agree with the others that too much information is lost. If I were to keep trying for monochrome, I might see if there was a way to get a little more detail/structure in the snow - in the monochrome, the big areas of white snow flatness in the foreground and on the car are more overwhelming than in the color rendering.

I like #1 too...and your snow is yellowing a bit on the second shot...
