    George Washington Bridge

I have passed the George Washington Bridge so many times. This is the first time that I stopped to take some pictures. The pictures were taken around 10~11 am. I have to use HDR to get the detail in the sky and dark part under the bridge.
    C&C welcome.

#2. There were a lot of airplanes flew by. But I could not catch them in the right position. Is it OK to add a airplane in to this picture at PS? I really want to know CiC member's opinion.

#3. This view should be good at night with lights on the bridge and in the city beyond the bridge.

Nice images. It's ok to add an airplane, just state that you did so. It could be as simple as calling the series a composite.

Great images I don't even care if you state that you added it. Its your image do what you want. After seeing your images this far I am sure you would keep it up to the high standards you have proven yourself capable of.

Great set, Hui, but I am particularly impressed by the first one. For me, it recalls historical images of a city under construction: it conveys authority, command, power, dominance.

    Isabel,
I do like the #2 with a airplane at that position. I just wonder if photography image, which is different with painting, should "keep it real". I hear a news two years ago that it took a photographer 30 years to got a picture of lighting hit statue of liberty.

Thanks Mark. I do like the first one the most. That is why I put it first.

    Hui,
I pass (under) the GWB every week, your image is fantastic! I'd ask where exactly you pulled over, but then I'd just be repeating your shot. The symmetry is excellent. My only suggestions would be, 1) crop out that bottom horizontal cross beam and 2) there is a slight downward tilt to the left.
The second image is, IMHO sufficiently strong enough to not have to have the plane in the image. Not that it's a bad thing but the image itself is very good without the plane.

    James,
Thanks for your nice words and comments. I think it absolutely OK do anything for the image if I just use it to entertaining myself and share it with in small community such as CIC.

When I did the PP for #1, I did recall the feeling of those old B/W photos of building the Empire State Building.

    Hui,
There is no spot to pull off on the West Side Hwy, lucky you. I really like your shots of NYC...maybe we'll run into each other one of these days.

    Hui,

Great shots, I especially like the perspective of No 2. They really show the magnificence of the steelwork that went into these structures.
