Wimbourne, whats it like?
Can anyone tell me what Wimbourne in Dorset is like please? I am thinking of visiting, can anyone recommend some good places to take shots? Many thanks.

Re: Wimbourne, whats it like?
Hi Louise,
It's way too long since I was there, but have you seen:
http://www.dorsets.co.uk/Wimborne/, plus http://www.dorsets.co.uk/photos/wimborne-photos.htm
or
http://www.visit-dorset.com/tourist-...entre-p1408313
or
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wimborne_Minster
So to answer your question, the Minster and Model Village are the two candidates, perhaps the Folk Festival too, if you go on 13-15 June 2014, although I've not been to any.
Cheers,

Re: Wimbourne, whats it like?
Louise - if you are in to architecture / parklands / gardens there's a rather nice country house - Kingston Lacy - just a mile or two west of Wimbourne.

Louise - it's about 3 miles - apparently there is a bus service 328 from Wimborne High Street to Kingston Lacy on Friday and Saturday only. More info at http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/kingston-lacy/
