An unusual angle but it certainly works for me; although possibly the water seems fractionally 'harsh and over sharp'?

The horizon, which isn't actually a true horizon, seems a little off. But everything else is level so I think that is probably just one of those 'fading into the distance' effects that you sometimes get with water.

Terrific. I think level is tough when the main reference is a shoreline not perpendicular to the line of sight, but this looks "right" to me, best reference being the center mast on the vessel.

    Geoff,

Thanks for the comments. I had to do a 3 degree rotation in post as I was leaning over a rail to get the angle.

This one evokes a lot of memories/emotions of time spent aboard naval vessels. The feeling of sunset in port is caught magnificently.

Ah, I visited her twice when I was stationed/working in Gaeta. She was flagship for the 6th fleet. Cool shot.

I did at least three variations of this image and a few more with less interesting background elements.
