Main Street Station

Train station in Richmond, Virginia can. 1901. Playing with black and white and some toning effects - platinum silver in this case. Needs a bit of perspective adjustment for the keystoning, and I want to try bringing up the high tones in the windows but thought I'd see what people thought so far.

I think it's looking good too. I like the toning. About the only negative for me is that the reflections of the light through the windows on the floor are a bit bright and distracting. Perhaps you could tone that down a bit.

I like what you have done here. Very good mood in the image.
The only negative is, in an image like this I like it to be perfectly symmetrical, with horizontal and vertical lines running parallel with the edges of the frame.

Hi all, thanks for the compliments and suggestions. Here is a version with the keystoning fixed and an ever so slight crop from the right side so the verticals and symmetry is better. I toyed with toning down the highlights in the foreground and bringing up the high values in the windows but decided I didn't like that look, so this is pretty much the final product.

I do like it better now. I did the the things I had known needed fixing, but those were supported by the comments. One comment about the highlights in the foreground I decided to disregard because I didn't like how toning those back looked and it moved away from the way I had visualized the scene. But, having the comment helped me think about that aspect of the image, and that helps because I can carry that thought process forward.

Hello, everyone, my first time jumping into a conversation.
I agree with AB26, if possible, try to have horizontal and/or vertical lines
match frame edges - sometimes cropping a frame in post-production
is the only way to achieve this.
