Bought some face paint for this shot. I don't know if my one eye should be open or not, but I only shot this with both eyes closed. Really don't want to repeat this on myself as self portraits are typically my testing grounds for ideas or editing techniques.
Needed to convey silence. This was the first idea that sprang to mind and I ran with it.
Second idea to convey silence. Getting the tape straight was next to impossible. I tried for about two hours and simply gave up. The heavy vignetting is supposed to be present. The flash had a 1/8" Honl speedgrid attached.

The first one reminds me of a shot I did some time ago. I might be tempted to clean up the bit of light on the eyelid with the dark paint to see how that works out. I also wonder how it would look like in colour, rather than B&W.
Your second one doesn't quite work; I find the transition a bit to hard.
The third one also works quite well. You are probably still cleaning the tape off your lips...

I love the first one, Chris! You can actually look at two faces separately. The second is ahhh...nahhhhh....Third one is OK too, but love the first one. Nice concept.
