    Here's how it works ...

    - You good folks post images in the thread (please change your post title to a name for your picture)

    - When we get 10 images we will attach a voting poll

    - After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared!

    - If you would especially like some critique after the competition poll closes, please make it known in the post

    Too easy eh?

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person.

If there are already 10 in the current comp, please start a new thread in this forums

    Clear for landing

Obviously not winter time in Norway! Pic from Fremantle, Australia just snapped as the 'P' flew past. It like watching the Airbus A380 superjumbo land!

    Reeds under the Sun Light

Here is my entry: Reeds under the Sun Light

To get the first sunlight shined on the reeds, I had to wait until the sun was high enough. Three filters
were used to balance the light around different parts in the frame and to slow down the shutter speed to achieve a calm lake surface.

A cold Friday night last week while away from home in Bedford and I came across this suspension bridge across the River Ouse.

    Hi James,

I see no image in your post and I can't see a suspension bridge picture in your album either.

    Where did you put it?

    Cheers,

Thanks Ron, glad you liked it. I thought your shot of the Pelican amazing. I love shots where it one chance or none, and yours has the wow factor for me.

Also talking abut the arirbus A380, it came into Birmingham just once last year....:-)

Think I prefer the real 'big bird'!

Thanks mate ... sometimes shots on the run are the best don't you think. This 'bird' passed very close. I tried my hand at B/W'ing it in Photoshop E but think that I stuffed up the pic a bit including sharpness.

Been a busy weekend so havn't done much more than scan CiC.

I think you got the conversion just about right. I liked the high tone value. The eye and wigtips are pretty sharp enough too.

Wish I'd taken it myself! (By the way I've just realised, my 'big bird' statement previously could be confusing.... to be absolutely unambiguous, I prefer flapping wings to rigid ones )

Thanks James ... I will try to do a bit more in B/W, reckon it looks interesting. Funny how we go back in time
