Lowepro x300 camera bag

I have until now carried up to four Lowepro backpacks, over time you gain gear need to carry it buy another bag and get more gear.......

Well finally as well as getting a few other things this weekend I went for the Lowepro roller X300 to carry it all in. I find that I am working more and more away these days, and humping three or more bags in and out of a car is a pain. Especially into the Travel lodge and out again the next day.

In case you are considering this or another version get one, I carry everything I need in it when I arrive I can either take from it what I need for a shoot, or take the bag complete.

The build quality and attention to finish is superb, it swallows my 150-500 with camera and grip attached and easily takes two other bodies with lenses attached making life easier not having to attach and detach lenses when packing away.

It tilts so access is easy, and whilst I know most people will not need such a large bag there are still many people who will use one or they would not make them.

Now I can work away with my gear and office

Thanks for posting this, Jeremy. I'm in the hunt for a roller type bag. After several years using smaller Tamrac bags, a couple of years ago I got a Lowepro backpack. It's the first one I'd seen that actually felt like a true backpack. I agree the quality and attention to detail is top notch. But I've got to get a roller bag for air travel.

Regarding the photo of the laptop/printer setup, do you cover events and produce prints on site?

The IX4000 Printer is old now, but the prints are superb, the battery it runs off is back to the right, unseen is the A4 MG5350 which I print DVDs on as needed on site at events (P1 Superstock is the next one)

When you are able to offer instant DVDs, A4 to A3+ prints, printed DVDs in cases on site you tend to "stand out" as professional if not really so

Are your sales after the event, during intermission? I've thought of doing something similar but for the events I cover I don't get a break from shooting until the end of the day.

Sorry for delay.

I am different, I attend pro events such as P1 Superstock, all over the country, there I shoot with a limited number of others who have access to all areas, some of my shots end up in magazines, however when I shoot to sell on site I have found that

1. For general events such as surf/sports/races, people want the whole thing so I do a DVD, simply transferring all my "day 1" shots to a DVD either at the hotel and take them back on day 2, day 2 shots are either available on day 3 and so on or if ended, via my website.

On small or one day events it is tricky, I usually make use of lunchtime to place "selected shots" onto a DVD, and then run that on a loop in the car window on a portable DVD player as an advert.

If someone is able to say "red swimming costume, green and yellow surfboard" then I print on the day

When I shoot motocross I have a laptop setup where they can view the photos in explorer ONLY by using the mouse, keyboard and laptop covered, they locate their shots I print them, A4 £7, 5x7 £5, A3 £12

Belirve me you make more from people buying on the day, DVDs, than when the have gone home and thought, oh well perhaps not.

Thanks, Jeremy. No doubt selling in the moment would yield many more sales. I've found if it takes me more than a day or two to get photos loaded to my website sales drop of dramatically. I'm afraid the only way I could do it would be to sell day 1 shots on day 2. Something for me to think about again ....
