Interesting subject, John. Triffids came to mind, especially after noticing the face in the tree on the left.

    Isabel and Greg,

Thanks for the comments. I thought of both of those movies but as Walking Dead is my favorite series at the moment I went with that name.

I think your chosen title helped with the imagery. I wonder if I would have seen the tree in the same way without it.
    Great shot John.

    John,
Unusual and exceptional: great title and great image.
Now if you could get rid of that 'bar code' behind it....

    Re: Walking Dead

Had it started to walk towards you whilst you were photographing it, now that would have been quite interesting. Well seen, good capture. What is it BTW. Looks like a tree stump with its roots but I notice that it has a sign in front of it so it must have some other significance.

Thanks Kyle. It's one of those stop you in your tracks images. Unfortunately, the skies were overcast, my battery was nearly drained and my backup battery was at home, so I didn't get a chance to really work the image.

Thanks for the comments Jack. I thought the "bar code" added to the patterns and lines.

If I do a little St. Patrick's Day celebrating it just might happen. Thanks for commenting John.

The location is Hoyt Lake in Buffalo, NY. I just happened to be walking in the vicinity and stumbled upon this view. This is what I found out related to the structure.
