Optical Illusions....
I was out shooting off this dock and noticed the low tide. I got in the shallow water and shot the dock from below. In post processing I increased the width of the canvas to 200%, duplicated the image, then flipped it and joined it to create this image. C&C Welcome.

That is a beautiful comp. I like the clouds. There's is this guy in a hat watching you from there...see him?

An interesting photocomposite. I think the symmetry in the horizontal works well with the assymetry in the vertical.
I can't decide if the image might work better with a different treatment of the clouds; the perfect mirroring there doesn't seem to work as well as what you accomplished with the pier itself.
That being said; I like any image that makes me think and analyze what someone did and why they did it. Nicely done!

I tend to agree with the clouds. I'm gonna work on it some more and see what I can come up with. Thanks for all the comments.

I'm just wondering if a slight crop from the top, and a different image size ratio might help with the 'cloud problem'?

I tried that, I think it just needs good clouds....lol
