Nice capture. What action could you anticipate to occur at the next base, a slide or tag, this is where your next shot should have been planned; really focused on the final approach of the player as this is where the action will be.

Were you using a zoom lens? Full body capture would be more dynamic.

yes...zoom lens. when you say full body, do you mean feet included in the picture as well?

It's great - lots of dynamic lines and movement, that make clear this kid has genuine athleticism in her focus and drive. I agree the feet would add, because they no doubt would ground the great sense of movement. (imagine this shot from the waist down - I bet it would be exciting too).
There are always infinite tweaks for PP but the one thing that strikes me is the wonderful focus she has in her eyes, so if you could bring up the shadows a bit just there, with a tinkle of clarity, it might add something.

Nice shot Dedric, When I shoot kids baseball games I like to get down the 1rst or third baseline (whichever one puts sun most behind me) this usually allows me a chance to catch batters in swing. With practice you will be surprised how many times you will catch the ball on the bat. Once I have covered the important batters stances, I usually look for running and catching shots, I always figure on cropping at least 20 to 50 percent. I give up a little in detail in order to pick my compositions in post production. ( that makes sure I got feet in .) I feel like figuring to crop allows me to see all the action. Meaning if my son just tagged a runner out trying to steal second I got him and runner, to show the whole context of the play. I hope this helps!

Oh yea the bright sun will wash the colors a bit, you might want to tweak your saturation just a touch but don't overdo it.
