Disjointed again

My first attempt at shooting on black plexiglass. Lots to learn. Too many dust specks. Wondering how to clean this material without leaving dust and residue behind.

Sharp image, great reflections, nice color bleed in the plexiglass. Only the handles look a bit soft. The composition in the second one is more interesting to look at. Looks really good for your fist try at black plexiglass, Travis

Nice sharp image, Travis. Have you tried to connect the handles of the broken fork to the shadow of the tines?

Nice job of keeping the metallic-looking parts of the forks bright. Easier said than done.

I clean plexiglass with windex and a very old tee-shirt that has no lint. I then brush off the dust with a dry micro-fiber cloth. Even after doing that, I deal with the dust during post-processing, as it's impossible to eliminate all dust in my makeshift studio. If you figure out how to keep it from becoming scratched, let me know.

I still think your first image of these forks with the white background has the most potential. Notice that the second image shown above has one fork reflecting something green. Best to avoid that at least in this otherwise clean style.

When the reflections are an important component such as in these two photos, keep them in mind just as much as the source subjects. As an example, I think you would like both of these compositions better if the reflections didn't intersect with the forks.
