Not sure about Sid's second name. The Scarlet Tiger is rather similar but there are so many butterfly and moth caterpillars; and not my strongest subject, identification wise!

In this shot you have managed to get his head nicely sharp while his tail fades into the distance giving a good impression of depth. Definitely the best approach if you can't find an angle to get everything sharp.

And 'jumpers' are always an excellent choice of subject matter.

Once again Claudio two great images. The detail and sharpness in those hairs is perfect and eyes spot on.

I really like the first one, Claudio. Good depth of field, combined with the nice gentle s-shape of the body draped over the rigid diagonal of the leaf.

I like both of your shots, Claudio both are interesting and although I will not take these pictures I am beginning to enjoy your shots especially the spider ones...how far are you from your wife when you took these shots?

This site has an African forum, Claudio. And they should be able to offer information about specific South African organisations.

    http://www.wildabouttheworld.com/forum

I regularly use the UK version called Wild About Britain.
