    a swimming wasp

This afternoon I went outside to fill the hummingbird feeder. Before I could do it the phone rang and when I went back outside there was a wasp swimming in the glass that I had the sugar water in. What else was there to do but get the camera and attempt some head shots of the wasp in the glass. I did find it pretty hard to get a good focus through the glass and the water but here are the attempts, thought I would post them for comments/critiques.

Rita...the first one looks like an attempt of the wasp to survive...I like it very much. If there were a few more in that glass, I would think they were having a swimming Olympic. #2 is so funny looking. It looks like an alien. Nice capture...

Thank you Isabel, Jon, and David.

David, the last I saw of the wasp was it was flying off to somewhere so as far as I know it did survive
