...So much of my learning has been based on just studying the work of others.

Maybe there's an idea for a new forum. We could post photos with no commentary. Simply share our work, look/learn from others imagery, and spare the diatribes..... Naaaah. It'd never work.

I keep reminding myself, as well as telling anyone who wants to know, that 5 years ago I had not used a camera in a serious way for over 30 years. The world of digital photography was completely new to me and used a language that I did not understand. If I can learn how to make good images, then anyone can learn. The ingredients are, I believe, commitment to learning and the determination to practice, practice, practice until the knowledge and skills become embedded into thinking, behaviour and actions.
