An interesting shot. Is the white portion at top of frame a painted wall? If you have a chance to shoot later when the leaves are green on the trees the contrasting colors might be interesting.

I like the composition very much JordanMay I ask why you cropped the walls on the sides instead of showing the real thickness?

Binnur, I made this shot through a window with my Tokina 11-16, held in portrait position. I had to get really close, as with any ultra wide being careful to hold the camera parallel to the ground.
I might have stayed a bit farther from the window but I didn’t… unfortunately.

    Very well done Jordan.
An exposure setting challange with very good depth of field.

By the way my son in law is from Sofia and his name is Jordan.

There is something about this scene that makes me want to go through the window and wander about the trees. I think there's a fairytale somewhere waiting for this pic

    Dear Jordan,

I like this image. There is a frame, within a frame, within a frame.

Like Pania, it draws the viewer in...

I like this very much, the symmetry and the view is just right.

Nicely done, Jordan. It looks like a very uniform color with no texture above the arch at the top, and the edge looks very sharp, so I am wondering whether you painted that area.

No, Ken, I haven’t painted above the arch. Actually it was a freshly painted white wall in deep shadow that was making it look a bit greyish. If you zoom in you’d still be able to see some paint drops on the stones ( I’ve only cleaned the biggest).

OK, Jordan, thanks. Could not tell due to smallish size of image. It was just a curiosity question on my part.
