    Travis,
S/he is adorable but...I think you've lost some details in the muzzle (mostly between the nose and eyes) and s/he is kind of disappearing into the background], can you bring her/him out a bit? Conceptually I like it, but I think you need to make the pup stand out a bit more from the BG with a bit more detail on the dog itself. What kind of dog? Puppy?

Thanks for your comments Jack, She is a Cane Corso puppy that will grow into a 120 pound dog. Trying something new with Lightroom creating a sort of oil painting effect & I did intend to blend the dog with the background. I could pull back the clarity to restore some details but then the effect I was going for would be lost.

Travis, then stay with your intent. I can see what you were going for and I can see how it works. Great vision.

Thanks guys, Binnur, she is a friend's dog and was just visiting for the day. They all got along very well.

I like the effect on the dog. The eyes and nose look good. Losing a bit of the detail is somewhat the point of making the conversion. IMO there isn't enough contrast with the BG and it has too much distracting detail as well. For a portrait style shot the face should jump out at you. Due to both colors and textures this one is almost camo.

We have a friend with a male Cane Corso, and thankfully we got to know Titan as a puppy and he is now our friend (he's almost two years old and massive). A very nice dog.

I see what you are trying to do, but feel that the she blends too well with the background and this is working against you.
